Hi lovely nurses!
Would appreciate advice on any good childrens hospitals or paediatric wards within hospitals in Oz for a possible graduate position? I have been told Royal Childrens Hospital is great. What are the big differences between private and public hospitals? I would be thinking of applying in Melbourne or somewhere in Queensland etc.
I would be applying for a new graduate position and my passion is in paediatrics so hoping to apply to various places!
Also - to the paeds nurses out there, which area do you work in? And which do you enjoy?
Any advice would be much appreciated! :redpinkhe

Westmead Children's Hospital (located in Sydney's Western suburbs) has a great reputation and is a great hospital.
There are a few hospitals called "Royal Children's Hospital" so am not sure which one you are referring to. I don't know of any private hospitals that are specialist paediatric facilities.
Oops sorry about that! I meant Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital!
Thanks so much for the advice, much appreciated :)

RCH Melbourne is a brand new facility with meercats and a huge aquarium and a cinema etc. Really set up for families. Got a friend who works there. I work at RMH down the street. The suburb of parkville has 3 public hospitals. Peter Mac is building across the street so it will be a huge cancer research center with Melbourne Uni medical school on the other side of the block
