Best PDA for nursing school??

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I am new to these boards. I am starting nursing school next month and see all sorts of info about needing a PDA. Can anyone reccomend a good one? Not really looking to spend $500 but something that gets the job done. Or what about a phone? I have a basic cell phone now but would it be wise to get one of the fancy ones? Do they have the ability to download the info like a PDA? I would rather go this route if possible. Sorry I am not very techno friendly, Weird seeing as I'm only 24! haha:bugeyes:

Since it seems your school is opposed to the phone aspect of the Blackberry (that's because many hospitals are) I think the i-Phone suggestions won't work for your situation either.

My Palm T/X is great. It interacts with my Outlook Express to coordinate my school and social calendars, goes online, etc. My school requires PEPID software so that's what I have loaded and I really love it.
