Hi, what can you suggest as the best or if not the best a good review book for the Med-Surg Certification exam. What are the questions like? Is it similar with the nclex? I highly appreciate if you can share your points.:nurse:

much of this information can be found online

for review, you might consider using the saunders comprehensive review for the nclex-rn examination by linda anne silvestri. this book presents concepts in a very nice concise outline form. when i took this exam some years ago i found that knowing what my hospital policies and procedures and having been on the qa committee was a big help. having seen just about every medical disease a patient could come in with and working on a stepdown unit was also a help as there were some ekg strips of basic arrhythmias to identify on my test. http://www.12leadecg.com/intro/ does a nice job of explaining basic ekg--it is a textbook companion website.

there is a medical-surgical nurse review & resource manual that you can purchase from the ancc to prepare for this test:

hope that helps.
