Best MD/DE hospitals! ADVICE!!

HI! I'm a nursing student, graduating in MAY! (WOO!) About to apply for various hospitals.

I'm Considering JHH, A.I. Dupont, Rockford, BeeBe Medical Center, Christiana, and am open for suggestions.

Obviously, location doesn't have to be to specific, just know that I am relocating within MD/DE area. I am, though, very interested in starting out in either a psych or pediatric unit- And I know this IS possible as a new nurse, so please do not reply telling me that I'm selfish, asking too much, or I am getting my hopes up. I know what I want.

My question is for people who have experienced these hospitals (or others around the area). Which is the best teaching facility, has the strongest experienced staff, etc. I want to learn and continue to feel confident about my skills, not fall into patterns that produce low quality care. I believe my first experiences as a RN will shape the type of nurse I will become for years to come!

I have noticed a lot of people send patients for Beebe to Christiana. Is this only due to the fact that Christiana is a level 1 trauma center, or are there other reasons. I have known couples who traveled 3 hours from sussex to have their baby in Christiana. Why? I am considering working there, taking in that they have no psych of peds opportunities.
