Greetings everyone,
So after my third unsuccessful attempt at NCLEX, I realized that my issue was not core content as I have HURST down to a science but rather it was assessment and delegation. Therefore, I got the PDA book by Linda Lacharity. But my question goes a bit further as I'm torn. I retake NCLEX in 5 weeks. What is everyones thoughts on KAPLAN NCLEX RN 20012-2013 strageties book and also Saunders 5th edition. I'm becoming overwhelmed with resources and have wasted my time already on more and more ATI questions and NCLEX for dummies which I think was a total waste. Please give me some advice. :0
Thanks. I didn't purchase the Kaplan qbank, but did every question in their book. As well as doing questions from PDA, NCSBN, and Saunders. I'm fine with content, I graduated with a 4.0. I'm going to continue doing a ton of questions until my test next Tuesday. If I really can't remember something I always look up some info on the topic. I feel confident I will easily pass. We used ATI throughout school as well and I received a 98% likelihood on passing the NCLEX according to their comprehensive predictor. Thanks for the advice. Congrats on passing and being done!
Thank you! And you are very welcome. It sounds like you are on the right track and you will do very well. Make sure you concentrate on the higher level Qs, ie analysis and critical thinking. I found ATI was very straightforward, but it is helpful in the sense that the nclex is straightforward and can always be narrowed down. Good luck to you.
