Best Approach?

I am originally going to OCC and doing my pre-reqs. Well, I haven't done Micro, A&P 1+2 yet, but I was planning on taking Micro and A&P 1 during the summer and taking A&P 2 during next fall semester. The only thing is OCC starts nursing fall semester only. Their application deadline is mid-December, and I'm not sure if they'd count my A&P 2 because I think the deadline is before the fall semester ends.

Have any of you applied to Community colleges for the winter nursing program? I think WCCCD and HFCCC offer it? Would that be the best way to do it so I wouldn't have to sit out a semester?

At HFCC there is a waitlist, you need to have certain prereq's to get on it and then you finish the rest of the required classes while you wait. I just got on it and was told about 13 months until I should be expecting to be accepted.

Wow, so you completed A&P 1+2, Micro, applied, put on the waiting list and while you wait that year, you'll be doing the other classes like Composition, etc?

Actually I had to complete chem131,comp 131,132,psych 131,and math 080 to get on it. Now I will finish A&P 2 and pharmacology, and lifespan psych. Micro is not a prereq at HFCC.

Tonya, the A& P's are not pre-reqs at HFCC, so you could get on the wait list there without them. IS that what you wanted to know??

Thats what I was telling Annie, I just took the scenic way to tell her that.I am already on the wait list, hopefully entering in winter09.
