Just wondering if there is anyone on here applying?? I took my HESI today and my cumulative score was 87%. I pray that is high enough to get me accepted. Just have to wait till the end of November to find out. I would love to chat with some people that are in the same predicament as me!
You know what stinks, the last day to test was suppose to be the 14th, but it got pushed back until the 20th. And since the college is closed the 21st-23rd for Thanksgiving, we won't be finding out until the very end of November or the first week of December. I check the class average everyday, numerous times a day, lol. All we can do is sit around and wait.. drives me crazy! lol
LOL. Yea, I do too. The class avg went down to 78 today. Also, there are 50 seats. I checked webadvisor and their are only 50 open slots for the Spring nursing classes.
Aww, that sucks. I was hoping to find out sooner than that. Maybe there won't be a lot of people testing and they will start looking at those who have tested already. Who knows?! If I hear anything I will keep you guys updated :)
Hi everyone, I'm planning to apply for fall 2013! I hope everyone gets in!! I have a few questions about HESI. Are the HESI exam subjects assigned randomly for everyone or is it different by college? Also, how helpful is it to buy the book? Is there a best way to prepare for the exam? I really appreciate it. Thanks!!
This is definitely going to be a LONG 2 weeks!!! :) .... Thank you, jhun81. I think the wait is the hardest part of this whole process. As far as the test goes (at least from my experience), I found the book to be helpful in some ways but not in others. Everyone applying to the nursing program at Bergen has to take the same sections of the test - the sections may be different for other schools but I'm not sure about that. As far as the vocab, grammar, and reading comp sections go, I thought it was really a lot of common sense questions. Some of the word meanings from the vocab section were in the book but others were not. The math was pretty basic and had a lot of fractions, ratios, conversions, %'s, and decimals - not too bad. I found that the chemistry and bio sections had very random questions so I would suggest having good general knowledge of both subjects. These are the 2 parts of the test that I would suggest using resources other than the hesi study guide alone to study. I hope this helps you out!

Oh yeah, sorry. I forgot to mention that I was also tested on Biology.
