benefits at Atlanta hospitals

Published

Hi y'all I have spent days looking through old threads about Atlanta hospitals and have read positive and negative comments about each. People mention benefits being better at certain hospitals but never told what made the benefits better. I was just recently in the Marietta area and thought it was nice but of course I've lived in a small town for several years so everything in the city has me pretty wide eyed. I'm currently working at MCCG in Macon but after getting a couple years of experience I'd like to work in Atlanta but I'm a single parent so of course I am gonna be doing extensive research. I'm working the hardest floor at MCCG (6 MAIN) so I'm not too worries about hard work. My main concern is salary and benefits. I commute an hour to Macon right now because my mother helps me with my son but I'm not trying to necessarily commute when I go to Atlanta. I really would like employees of the Atlanta hospitals to give their pros and cons of the hospital. The benefits I'm concerned the most about are health insurance and retirement. Do any of the hospitals offer on site childcare? Besides wellstar in Cobb and Marietta are there any hospitals that are in safe enough neighborhoods where there was no need to commute? Any information or advice is greatly appreciated.

Dont know if I will be much help because I am a pediatric nurse but I work at Children's and they have great benefits and great pay compared to other Atlanta hospitals and I just accepted a position at Kennestone hospital in Marietta and they also have good pay and benefits. I have interviewed at other hospitals around Atlanta and I personally think that these two hospitals have the best pay and benefits for me. Hope that helps.
