During my first couple years at BC I was suffering from bad health, all while enrolling in classes-and not attending. I was failed for a total of 56 credits which resulted in a GPA below 1.0. I have since received help and transferred to a community college an hour away and have been holding onto a 4.0 ever since. None of my failed classes transferred in for credit or GPA so I started with a clean slate. I attempted an unsuccessful appeal. From my understanding broward college calculates GPA just from the prerequisites, right? https://www.broward.edu/academics/health-sciences/nursing/index.htmlSo do I have a chance at transferring back to BC and entering their program? Or should I stick with my new community college where I have a 4.0(even won a scholarship). The huge con is its an hour away by car and about 1.5-2 hours by bus(which is my main mode of transport right now). 0 Likes
caliotter3 Jun 24, 2020 What does the nursing advisor at Broward tell you? Frankly, you will find it easier to deal with the school where you have a 4.0 GPA. 1 Likes

I've decided to stay at my current college, the distance is a bit of a struggle but its less of a hassle than trying to go back to BC 1 Likes
caliotter3 Jun 29, 2020 This seems like the reasonable decision. Inconvenient as far as distance but it will be worth it when you achieve your goals. Good luck. 0 Likes
