Belmont University Accelerated BSN

Published

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about Belmont's program? I applied to the accelerated BSN. Does anyone know what GPA they normally accept? Are the teachers helpful? How intense is the accelerated program? The only reason why I would not go to Belmont is because of the cost. I have heard there is a really nice facility, but is it worth the cost? I would really appreciate any help!

Thanks!

Beth

Hi there, Beth! I applied to Belmont's nursing program and was accepted to start in Jan. 2007. I was still deciding at the time whether to do the accelerated program or not. (I was a transfer student with a decent amount of gen-eds already.) I believe my gpa at the time was around a 3.5, but I don't exactly remember. Unfortunately, I had to leave Belmont to return home to Ohio because some family health issues, but I would recommend it 110%! (I will be graduating from an ASN program in my hometown in June, and plan to attend Belmont for my RN-BSN if I return to Nashville.) In my short time at Belmont, it was clear that their professors were extremely passionate AND knowledgable about their work. They seemed to really care about making their students become the best nurses that they could be, which was encouraging. It was clear that their expectations were high, but I was treated with respect. Classes are small and personal, and the campus itself is just the right size-very welcoming and you don't feel as if you're being swallowed up. If you have not already experienced the other staff (i.e., nursing admissions, etc.) they're also wonderful to work with- any question you may think of will not go unanswered. I am normally a person who shops around for the 'best' deal, but in this case, you truly get what you're paying for. Belmont is worth every penny! Good luck with acceptance! I hope this has helped :)
