Bellevue Hospital, NYC

Anyone have experience first-hand, or heard about, what it's like working in the ER at Bellevue Hospital in NY? I am a Tele and MS nurse who wants to gain ER experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center. Any info is appreciated, thanks!

I worked here fresh out of school. It’s a busy place and you will learn a lot. HHC hospitals are hard to get into because many seek them out for their pension. However,  that being said it is worth the experience. You learn a lot through exposure but also at times are overwhelmed by the volume and clientele. It’s an inner city hospital and deal with a range of social problems. But once you work there you can work anywhere. That’s how I feel. I have a great foundation.

Hi. Recently got my NY license and I have an interview coming up in Bellevue for a critical care position. I have no experience except for my clinicals in my home country. Will I be under nursing residency upon hire? Thank you.
