Thanks for the advice. Yes, we recently moved from our $2000/month one-bedroom in SF, and got a deal in Marin due to a family owning the home we live in now. I do agree that Petaluma and Novato are not far for commuting. SF is just out of control if you want to live in an area that is not terrible.
