You need to talk to an Army healthcare recruiter. Even though you have enlisted experience, you will still be subject to the 2 years of full-time RN experience that I believe the Army requires. The Air Force and Navy still take new grads.
In general, all military branches start you in med-surg or L&D for the first few years as a new grad. You need to get a year of full-time RN inpatient psychiatric experience in the civilian sector first. That will ensure you join the military as a mental health/psychiatric nurse.

I am currently working to enroll in an Accelerated BSN program (2nd degree). My goal is to obtain my bsn and then re-join the Army. I was enlisted for 12 years. I would like to be a psychiatric / mental health nurse (66C I believe). What can I do over the course of the 16 month program or shortly after to help ensure that I can get that MOS instead of another in the 66 series?
Thank you for your help,
Bailey
