why did you become a nurse?
was there a life changing event?
did you always dream of being a nurse?
i can start..when i was 17 my dad was in a near fatal motorcycle accident and spent several months in the hospital.the kindness of the nurses touched me deeply and i never forgot it.also, my first job as a teenager was as a nursing assistant.i cared for the elderly and found much joy and satisfaction seeing a smile on their faces and their sincere thank you.
so ,does anyone else care to answer this question???
I started out by being an STNA (which I feel that most nurses should be before becoming a nurse) then I decided that I wanted to become a nurse and vowed NOT to treat my aides the same way I have been treated.
Also, I wanted to treat the residents better than how I've seen some of them be treated.
