BCC Nursing Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys! Wanted to start a thread for those applying for Fall of 2017 at Bristol Community College! What other programs are you applying too? Traditional or eHealth? GPA and points? Can't wait to hear about everybody else. I've read all of the other years threads and I must say I'm so happy to finally be able to be involved in one! So excited for everybody! Can't wait to hear from you.

I believe they have to be within 5 years! And we should be finding out shortly! Last round found out last February.

Just found out I got into Brockton! So that helps my nerves a bit. BCC is my first choice, so still hoping for that acceptance. I can't believe the time is almost here, nerves are finally setting in though. Best of luck to you all! ❤

I also applied to BCC! Hoping for EHealth. I think my points are 23. Not sure of GPA since I have transfer credit coming from 3 different schools. My grades are just about all As with one B+ mixed in there. I haven't taken any courses at Bristol though so that might hurt me. We shall see! The wait begins!

FRN12 wow congrats!! are you talking about brockton hospital? Because i also applied there last week and am waiting to hear! What i like about them is they dont make you wait 4 months for an answer. When did you apply and when did you hear back? And was it an email or a letter?! Ahhhhh when i log in on their website it says i had an admissions review on 1/9 whatever that means

You sound like me, bcc or massasoit is my first choice but i will take brockton hospital if its the only one i get into. I plan on doing an RN to BSN program afterwards either way so i guess it wont matter!

Hey guys! So I'm applying to the BCC nursing program this fall much like everyone else. I have all of the general education requirements completed, however I'm currently taking chemistry and anatomy and physiology 1 this upcoming spring. I was wondering if anyone knows if they accept students whose requirements are in progress. I really don't want to let two classes get in the way of my attaining an acceptance. I have a 3.5 GPA at my home university (Umass Dartmouth) but I chose to try and transfer to BCC because the nursing program at Umass is virtually impossible to transfer into. I'm taking the TEAS exam january 25th and I'm so nervous and excited! Best of luck to everyone, and if someone could get back to me about in the in progress courses that would be awesome.

Hmm im not sure about requirements being in process! For some reason i think they want them complete by the time you apply so they can see your final grade but its worth a shot! Just show them proof that youre enrolled in those classes currently. Your TEAS will be fine because its before the deadline! I was so nervous for the teas but its not as bad as people say at all! Im worried about my chemistry grade :( i hated that class. Good luck!!

Hi AshB111!

Statistics trumps High school algebra! and congrats!

They do have to be complete in order to be accepted. If they are in progress sometimes they will put you on a wait list. You'll have to apply this October of 2017! I wish you the best of luck :-)

Emily, I found out about Brockton hospital through email, they said the package is on the way through the mail, i applied around Christmas so took 2-3 weeks. I'm sure you'll be hearing from them soon if you went into review on 1/9. I want to start nursing school this year regaurdless of where I need to go, and if it's very inconvenient I'll transfer after a year. Brockton sounds great, it's just the commute. Everyone I know that went did love the school though. Best of luck!!

Oh ok, hopefully its not a bad sign that it went into review on the 9th and i havent heard anything yet :( but yes ive heard its a great school and know a few older nurses that went there! Congrats again! Very exciting

No definitely not a bad sign, it takes a few weeks. I literally just found out so you'll be fine :) still don't feel excited yet, lol I'll be more excited once I hear from BCC. Last years threag says they found out feb 10th, were almost there guys! Only a little bit of time left!

Hey guysss! I also applied into the eHealth nursing program for Fall 2017. I finished all my prerequisites and I have a 3.91 GPA and about 23 points. Really hoping to get in this year! Nice to meet you all!
