Baylor's BSN-DNP CRNA Program 2017

Published

Hello everyone!

I want to start a thread for those of you applying to Baylor-Houston's BSN-DNP CRNA program for 2017 admission. How is everyone faring so far? Being that this is a competitive program, this is a place where we can help each other out essentially.

I have applied and praying I get an invitation letter to interview. Who else is doing the same?

How many schools are you applying to? I applied to the two schools in Houston, TX.

None for me either :( Good luck to all who got the call! And to all of us still looking elsewhere lol

Thanks...And I wish you all success in your endeavors!

Didn't get a call either, but received an email to be on the alternate list! I'll take it! :woot:

congrats to everyone who got in and good luck to those still on the hunt!

Thanks, I'm certain that you'll get in somewhere...All the best!

Also on the alternate list. Anyone who was accepted not planning on attending?

Some people do end up not attending after they get accepted to other schools with late interviews. You never know!

Hi all! Congratulations to everyone who was accepted...and to those who weren't, it's not over yet! I'm applying next year for 2018 admission. Question: does the chemistry requirement have to be completed prior to application or prior to the start of the program? I don't want to be taking chem and writing essays/completing the application at the same time if it can be avoided. Thank you!

I actually just called Baylor directly and was told the pre-req courses need to be completed prior to matriculation, not the application deadline. Hope this helps anyone else who was wondering! =) Good luck to everyone about to start the program or who is applying next year!

Thank you JennyRN4!

I am not particularly sure. I do remember that my acceptance letter stated that full acceptance was contingent upon successful completion of required classes with grade of B or better before matriculation.

Personally, I took Organic Chem first, then GRE, then I wrote my personal statement - I think these can be done with the amount of time you have before application deadline of 07/01/2017. If you take the class and get a good grade, it will make you stand out more during interviews. You still have to interview well!

Email or call the program, their staff respond timely to questions and are very helpful.

All the best!!!

Awesome! Posted my response right after you :)

Does anyone know approx. how much the program costs for all three years?

Also, does the program start in January or the summer?

Thanks!

Hi! I was just wondering if you could give me some information about the interview process, as I am going to apply for admission in January 2017.

How long was it?

How many people interviewed you?

What kinds of questions did they ask: clinical vs. get to know you questions?

Did you interview anywhere else and if so, please tell me about those interviews, as well.

Congratulations on your acceptance into the program!!! I'm sure you are well into your first semester at this point.
