Hello. I have an interview with Bayada Nurses tomorrow. I am a RN with 1 year experience. I live in NC. Any information on starting pay? How soon after the interview if hired do they get you in to start working? If you are hired Full-time do you usually always get full-time hours? What days and times and how long is orientation? Any info would be GREAT! Thanks so much!

Bayada is a WONDERFUL company to work for. I took a casual job with them and was impressed. Unfortunately- I ended up resigning after 6 months because my regular job was able to increase my hours.
I think the hours will depend on where you work. The downside to any home care position- when your patient is sick or passes away- you'll lose hours.
The site I worked for- it looked like the nurses got plenty of hours. Their benefits are very affordable.
The training impressed me for home care. I did 3 days at the office- we went over everything and practiced skills. Then they sent the others to a vent class (I had just gone to a vent class with the same vent company). Then it's 3 days in the home.
The only negative I had about Bayada... they did not inform me until halfway through the 3rd day of orientation that orientation pay is less than what they offered me.
Pay will depend on the area and what the going rate is. But- you can and should negotiate. I didn't think about that since my other job is union and pay is not negotiable. The nurse orienting me flat out asked me what they hired me in at. I told her and her jaw dropped. She told me I was worth so much more than that and I should have negotiated. You get a differential for nights, and one for weekends.
THe training-we got 18 CEU's for it. It's information that even though I wasn't with the company long- was NOT a waste of my time at all.
BTW- they will do an interview quiz... some basic information. Is it for a peds patient or adult home care?
