Anyone else apply for May 2011 @ SUNY Binghamton BAT program? Anyone else anxiously awaiting a reply like me?? :)

How 'bout anyone that was accepted last year - when did you hear back?

Also, what is the program like - I did some searching on BU Brain and it looks like the schedule (classes back to back with clinicals in the same day) can be a little crazy! Were there ever situations where you have both on campus and far-off (Syracuse) obligations in one day?

is it correct that we have until may 1st to reserve our spot if we get accepted? that seems kinda late being that the program starts end of may...

I thought so too. I don't have the letter with me because I'm at school and the letter was sent to my house but my mom said that it says May 1st yet on the website it says:

Enrollment Deposit Deadline: Admitted students must submit their enrollment deposit by April 1st, or within 20 days of the date printed on their admission letter, whichever is later.

Has anyone not heard yet? This is making me nervous! I've heard some ppl got in since mid January and it's already mid Feb! Should I panic?

I haven't yet either Vball. I called again yesterday.... they said letters are still going out and they will be done soon. I looked again online and didn't see a transcript that contained information for 2 classes on there (though I swear I did in the past), but I called twice before the deadline to make sure everything was in and they assured me that it was. Hoping for the best here....

thanks for answering me sOad, I am in a small panic mode. When did you submit yours? I did it at the deadline, maybe that's why my friend and I are hearing so late. hoping for good news soon!

I submitted mine at the deadline too. Though I know of someone who did as well and heard back already. My gpa was good, maybe they didn't like my personal statement. Heres hoping for the best....

jujubee can you tell me a little bit about what it's been like to live in Binghamton during the BAT program? Were the other students supportive? You really made some excellent points. The no-skills-assessment thing is disconcerting-- did you feel that your clinical experience was lacking once you got into the hospital (i.e. crappy preceptors, patients unwilling to let you give care, etc.)? Any info would be so helpful. I can give you my email if you don't want to respond on the thread. Thanks!
