Hi all! This thread hasn't been started that I see. I am looking ahead at schools to apply this this next year. Barry is one of them. I'm having trouble locating a 600 level chemistry course... I haven't found a local university that teaches grad level chemistry with lab. If they do, I have to take some of their pre req classes.  Which would put me back in applying a lot. 
I called the office and I was told there are schools that do it, however I was not able to get any names. Any help or someone that can provide further explanation? None of the online schools teach graduate chemistry as well.
It seems they just changed this requirement in the middle of last years application cycle- per other threads.  They used to be okay with just general chem. 
 

"Successful completion (grade B or better) of one graduate-level college chemistry course (600 level and above) with a laboratory component. The course (not laboratory component) must have been taken within five years of beginning the Program. Organic chemistry or biochemistry is strongly preferred. In addition, one previous additional science/mathematics course (examples include anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, physics, genetics, statistics, and algebra) is required"

when is regular cycle? I wasn't aware there were 2 cycles 

My profile says the same. Early application for possible early interview and entry was March 1-June 30th. Anything after that until October 31 is "regular" cycle. They said for early deadline we should hear something by around this time and interview in September. Also said whoever is not chosen will be deferred to regular cycle. But IDK if that's means everyone? Or do they only defer a certain amount of applications.

Barry is supposedly rolling.  You did apply earlier in the cycle.

Some people are saying now that there is an early and a regular cycle, but I never heard any of that from info session or talking with anyone at Barry.

Just hang on for the ride like everyone else.  Feels like different stories keep popping up.

No early application for Barry. I applied 7/1 haven't heard anything. They are interviewing the first couple week of June last week and this week of August so I think first week sept Barry will start reaching out again

Thanks for clarifying! Would have been so bummed if I missed early app by just a few days. Did anyone apply without PALS? I'm taking the skills test 9/7and hoping that's OK 🤞🏻

Honestly, don't stress too much.  I have heard the craziest stories from people that applied.  Some get their applications in with holes and fill it later, but still get interviews and accepted.  Crossing fingers for you as well.
