Hey, I was just wandering if anyone had any insight or opinion on

Barry's accelerated one year ABSN program? Any feedback at all on professors there, classes, support staff, experiences from students, NCLEX-pass rates, retention rate of students starting compared to those finishing would really be helpful. I'm a prospective student and would appreciate any information whatsoever. Thanks

I can dive into this with you but I'm curious why you need to do those 5 for May? Assessment and Micro are the ones you really need before May, unless you're trying to avoid a killer schedule later in the year.

hey there, well they say those pre-requisites have to be completed for anyone trying to do the one year program in May. Had I known beforehand about their program I would have definitely taken their pre-requistes earlier and been under less pressure. I'll be talking to an advisor soon about though. Do you attend Barry?

It would serve you well to speak to an advisor. Otherwise, you may be taking classes that you don't need to do just yet (although if I were able I'd have everything out of the way to allow more clinical study time).

Yes I'll be attending Barry in January. From both a professional and personal POV, Barry is excellent. I can only speak for the professors and staff that I do know - all are wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful. There have been complaints on two professors - one ft and the other an adjunct.

Barry ranks 5th in FL for pass rates. Pass rates for each school are listed on the FL Board of Nursing site. Don't have stats on the other items you mentioned.

Pros are Barry is simply a fantastic school with a good rep, awesome dean, great students. Cons are Barry cost $$$$ and you will need to take additional religion classes as it is a Catholic school - more $$$.
