Hello guys! I’ve been looking for a forum for Barry for a minute. I got accepted at UM to start Spring 2020, but the program cost 40K. Barry called me last week and I went to an interview yesterday. I think I did pretty well in the interview. For the cohorts who already got accepted, can you please tell me how long it took for you to receive your acceptance letter.

Hi there! So I applied back in April and just Got my acceptance letter about two weeks ago. I know there was a class I needed before the program started. We started that class this past Monday so a lot of them were sent out before since majority needed that class still.

@Mr.lucky1 Hey. I got accepted back in late July. To be honest from what I have heard, you should be hearing soon then later because they have to prepare for cohort.

@jebeh2018 and @Alyssa Rendon Thanks for replying. Hopefully I can hear something by Wednesday next week. Did they offer you guys any Grants or Scholarships for the Accelerated program?

@Mr.lucky1 my understanding is that we are not offered any due to it not being a traditional program.

@jebeh2018 do you know when is orientation and how much does the background check package cost? also did you register for classes, if so how many classes per semester?

@jebeh2018 also did you get your acceptance letter by mail or email? Or is there a way you checked to keep up to date?

@Mr.lucky1 so from what i hear its a week or two before class. Its only a a few hours, done by 12ish. You should be getting an email with advising times to select class and I believe they will explain orientation.

@jebeh2018 Thanks for all your help. I received my acceptance letter today. On the email it says I have to take CPR class at Barry, but I already have a valid CPR card. Question for you did you take the CPR class already?

@Mr.lucky1 so yes i am certified but per conversation with nursing program representative...Yes we have to still take it at Barry. The upcoming class I cannot make and have been waiting for reply for other dates

@jebeh2018 I emailed Lauren today she replied. She mentioned that if you got your CPR certification from a hospital. You won’t have to renew it. Also I got another email from Terri mentioned a registration session that start next week Thursday from 3 to 5pm. To help us with registration and how to navigate through the Bridge through Barry website. Any info on your about that?
