Barry University CRNA 2025 Application

Published

Wanted to start thread because I have not come across a forum for the CRNA 2025 application deadline. Good luck to those applying!

Has anyone taken their intro to anesthesia course (ANE 695)? I've been accepted and want to know if it would be worth it or if I should just pass on it.

Well I've submitted several apps so just seeing what happens before I officially start as I have submitted several apps and expecting to hear something this december.

Trying to see what's the best situation for the family so I'm open to interviews... if I don't get any I'm thankful that I have 1 acceptance and will commit to my program

Just received my official rejection from Barry U

Congrats to everyone who got accepted and for those who didn't let's keep applying!!!

BACK TO THE APPLICATIONS!!! LETS GOOO!!!!

@fungirl27 if you've been accepted, I wouldn't take ANES695. Save you're money. I took it to prove that I can do well in a science and the load they gave for that course. And I got wait listed.

How did you feel the work load was? Were you working full time at the same time? I'm currently part time and taking orgo chem so I'm wondering if I should just stay part time and then switch back. Thanks!

@Nurselyfe2016 the workload wasn't bad. As long as you stay on top of it, practice all the work problems, etc. I work per diem. I took organic chem after the ANES695 course, another science to show that I can get an A. If your stats (like you're overall application)are OK, I wouldn't take ANES695.

No insight on how hard or easy it is but 'll be taking the course in the Spring. I was accepted  to Barry conditionally, seeing that I take and pass that class (I have high GPAs but I've been out of school since 2024 so they are requiring that I  take it.)

Honestly, if they didn't ask you to take it, I would save your money if I were you. It's an intro/ refresher. If you haven't been out of school for long you may not need it 🙂

I've been out of school since 2018 when I finished my BSN and have been accepted but have decided to take ANE 695 as a refresher and prep course to start CRNA courses in May bcuz I'm due with my first baby end of June (big surprise to my husband and I). Hopefully taking this course will help me get back into the college and study mindset before May and make for an easier transition back into school.

Good luck everyone!

See I was thinking about taking It bc my only chem is Gen Chem 1. I haven't taken orgo or biochem so I feel like I will be somewhat at a disadvantage when the program starts. I was thinking that they would potentially teach on the two subjects and it would help me when classes start in May. Did the course go in depth with the sciences or did they just brush over general topics?

Thank you everyone for your replies!!

Is the application process for Barry Uni on a rolling basis? If so, I wonder did they even considered the applicants who applied closer to the deadline? Thx for your input
