Baptist Health in LR AR LPN program?

Published

I am doing prereqs are Harding U in Arkansas and am considering going to the LPN program at Baptist Health so that I can get out in 12 months and start working. I would continue on, but I am unsure what the best way to move up would be--whether I should go with an online or campus-based program and whether I should go LPN-RN or LPN-BSN. I have all of my prereqs done except micro and already have a BSA. I need a program that will: A. Not cost too much, and B: Not take too long, and C: Help me pass the NCLEX when its time.

Thank you in advance.

Hello! I am an LPN and basically failed the BSN program @ UAMS.....and took my hours and sat for LPN. I am higher ranking than regular LPN b/c of my previous Bachelor in Liberal Arts (chem/Psych) and 90 hours accumulated towards my BSN. let me tell you something: due to medicare and insurance billing, the LPN jobs are being phased out!! UAMS is hiring Med Assistants in place of LPNs and ST Vincents says after July 1st of this year ZERO LPNs are allowed on the hospital floor......LPNS are still used in their Clinics, but no hospital LPNS. Baptist Hospital is same way. As a matter of Fact, Baptist Hospital wants ALL the Diploma and Associate RNS to complete the ONLINE RN to BSN program. (Speaking of online BSN; there is one Via UALR and another thru Arkansas Tech in Russellville)....which is I think about a year long course. So.........it's NO easy ride.......and you better NOT stop at your LPN or you are going to be VERY very VERY sorry!

I am looking at the online programs from LPN to RN.........then it will be Online again for RN to BSN......so I am a LONG long LONG way away from my goal, but you know what? The higher the hill, the steeper the climb, the more satisfying the view from the top.....that's what I say! So good luck to you and you are getting this information from the INSIDE source......

Best wishes!
