Banner Health New Grad RN Position

Published

Hi all,

I am currently living in NE and trying my best to get a job at Banner Health New Grad RN position in Phoenix, AZ area. I am graduating Dec 15th, 2017 and activity research for a job in Phoenix, AZ. I have heard that if you put an address in AZ your application would be considered over the NE address. Is that really true? I have received an automated email from the HR that my application was no longer considered, and I was just wondering if it would be best to just wait till I graduated and took my NCLEX and actually moved to AZ to apply again?

Thank you for your advice!

Hi! I would wait to apply again until after you get your ATT from the nursing board. Banner usually rejects applicants who don't have their test date since they aren't able to gauge your start date.

Hope this helps and good luck with your move to AZ.

Thank you so much for your reply! Very helpful!

Jeanie the RN, ADN - I'm wondering this same thing coming from California. If I have a PHX address I could use, should I use that instead of my LA area address?

Thanks!

If you have a Phoenix address it wouldn't hurt to use it. Banner likes to place their new grads near home because it keeps their retention rates higher.

I also just moved from CA to AZ 5 months ago. Good luck with your transition!

Hi, I have just changed my address to AZ from NE. I will let you know if that makes a difference at all. I have heard that having a local address is better than out of state address. Crossing my fingers! Good luck with yours!
