Bakersfield Hospitals

Published

Hi there I am a new grad from the greater bay area and am looking to move to Bakersfield for better nursing opportunities. I noticed that the three main hospitals in the area are Kern Medical, Dignity, and Adventist. I have done a lot of research trying to decide which hospital would be best for me to start my career. I feel as if I align which each hospitals mission statements, so there is no conflict of interest there. I am looking for the down and dirty details. Thanks!

Hi! I’m not a nurse but I am a cna, I work at dignity health and Adventist health. I do know dignity pays better and had better benefits. I was as a cna in the icu at Adventist health and I absolutely love it. Sometimes is not always about money.

Specializes in NICU, RNC.

I know this post is old, but Dignity is amazing. They pay the best, have the best benefits, provide free scrubs, have break nurses that ensure you always get your breaks, and they just overall make their RNs feel valued. I moved out of state last year and I wish to God there was a Dignity somewhere near here. I loved working for them at the time, but I had no idea how good I had it there.
