Hi there! I will be applying in June of 2010 for a fall start.
If you've made into the program, will you share some details about what to expect, especially with schedules and how it affects your family.
Tell your story. I want to read it.
Thanks.

I'm not in the program yet but I am also applying for the Fall 2010 start date! I have three classes left to take Spring quarter and then I will be ready. I'm excited about picking up our packets in a few weeks and I am ready to find out if I will get in or not! Are you taking classes during the Spring or are you all done?
I have one class left: microbiology. Next semester should be fairly easy going for me. I'm looking forward to starting in Fall of 2010.
I have Patho, Pharm and Holistics (AHHH) next semester so I'm a little bit worried about those three! Who do you have for Micro? I should be in good shape to apply as long as I do well in those classes. I am worried a little about the entrance exam only because no one has taken it and you can only take it once in a lifetime. But I am ready to continue with clinicals!
Wow! That's a heavy load. I don't remember who I have for micro, but it's definitely a name I've never heard of.
Who do you have for your classes?
I think one for lab and another for lecture. Both are great but the lab teacher is a little bit harder. He only uses the slides for his tests so learn ALL the slides but don't bother with the book. Also don't go by the study guide because they are really confusing!
I've heard great things about some and not so good things about others.

This will be my second time applying, I was denied the first time. I had a total of 23.4. I fell between 41 and 50 on the list. Rumor has it that there were 17 re-applicants that made it into the program because of the extra point for reapplying. That knocked me out of the running. I guess I should be grateful for the extra point that will be given to me this time around. It guarantees me a spot, but I can't help wondering just how fair is that! Good luck girls.
I'm kinda of nervous about that right now too. But I have a 4.0 so far and it doesn't look like that is going to change this quarter unless something crazy happens. I am a little bit worried about the entrance exam but I don't know how much more I can do. If I don't get in this time with my grades being as good as they are I will tranfer to U of M Flint and just get my BSN which is what I planned on doing after I graduated Baker. I actually really enjoy going to school there and understand that it has to be competitive but I'm not going to put my life on hold for it either. I mean let's face it, if you can't get in with a 4.0 because there are that many people with the same grades maybe they need to change the way they grade and not give out those A's quite as easily. Last I heard there was 147 applicants for the Fall 2010 start. YUCK I hope I'm one of the lucky ones! How long did it take before you knew you were not getting in?
It took forever! about two to three months after the application turn-in deadline. I'm sure that I will make it in this time around. With the extra point I will have over the 24 points needed (24.4), unless something freaky happens like 40 applicants with over 24.4 points:eek:. I can't see that happening.
Do you have any tranferred credits, or did you drop a class to get a certain teacher?
I do not have any transfer credit or retakes! I'm just hoping I do well on the test. You sound like you should be fine, there is a lot of people with retakes or transfer credits. A girl in my class thought you got a point for transferring. I guess it's a whole lot easier to get into U of M flint's program! Did you have to take classes after you didn't get in to be able to apply this semester? Someone told that you have to be a current student to apply again. So did you have to keep taking classes? How did that work with your financial aid? Do you have to take the Kaplan now that they have switched?
I had to sit out this spring term. Clinton Township campus only allows you to take 12 extra electives, I've done that. They won't let me take anymore classes. I can only pray that they consider my next application although I could not register this term. I'm hearing mixed stories, but my hands are tied.
