Baker College Auburn Hills

U.S.A. Michigan

Hello all, I'm new to posting to the site although I read everyday. I know that this is a nursing site, but maybe someone can help me out. I wrote a post on another site (will not say what site), inquiring about the Respiratory Care Program at Baker College Auburn Hills. Below is a copy and paste of my post; any information anyone may have, is greatly appreciated!

By the way, I cannot find any active forum for RRT's on the internet; is this something I should consider a "Red Flag"? Also, my ultimate career path is to become a P.A.. I know this is not a traditional way of achieving this goal, but I'm running against time and with waiting list being so long for nursing here in Michigan, I chose another route.

Thanks in Advance,

Jeni

Hello everyone!

I'm currently finishing up my Prerequisites for the RT program at Baker College in Auburn Hills, Michigan. I've noticed that some of the postings from the RT forums are slightly dated and I wanted to get a current feel about the Program especially the Programs in Michigan , Job Markets (relocating is an option for me), and if you are currently in a Program or are currently a Respiratory Therapist are you satisfied with your choice.

What do you feel were the most challenging courses? How long after you graduated and became Certified and/or Registered did it take you to land a career in your craft?

Most importantly, how long was the waiting list for the program (looking for an answer to this from someone in a Michigan College- especially Baker A.H Campus?

I'm so excited about applying to the Program and I'm going to maintain faith that I will be accepted.

Any feedback from any or all of these questions is very much appreciated!

Thank you!
