? about background check

I just got into nursing school and now the school has to do background check. The letter I received said that they will obtain an investigative consumer report, which includes criminal background check, credit bankruptcy, character etc. I have two questions...

1) Do you think that having bad credit will keep me from getting in? I don't have any bankruptcy's leans, judgements etc. but I don't have good credit.

2) The application that I filled out for Nursing School was online. It said to list all your previous work history (and to inclue in volunteer history) but it only had 3 slots. Therefore, I listed two jobs (current one for 7+years) and a volunteer activity. I am 36 yrs old and have had more than 3 jobs in my lifetime...so do you think I should let them know this (and the not enough room situation) before they perform their investigation or do you think that it won't matter.

I just don't want them to think that I am trying to deceive them in any way shape or form.

TIA.

Kimberly

Well since you said the background check looks for credit bankruptcy, no I don't think bad credit would prevent you from getting in. Many, many, many people have bad credit. That is nothing new, especially in this economy. Bankruptcy is a different story.

And as far as the job history goes, you should contact the school and ask them. It is most likely irrelevant. They know that an individual who is 20+ has most likely had more than 3 jobs in their lifetime. But it doesn't hurt to find out for sure. When in doubt, ask.
