Hello,
I am applying for CSPN in Cleveland and I need to get a BCI & I Background Check. Anyone know what this is or where I can get it? I don't want to go to the wrong place or get the wrong thing! Also, are they free??? Longshot I know.
Does anyone know where I can take a CPR class?

I'm not sure where you would get your background check in your area. I paid $85 for mine, in Cincinnati. As for your CPR class, check with your local fire department, and make sure you tell them that you need the "Healthcare Provider" class. It's way cheaper and easier to schedule than with a traditional class. (It was only $6 for mine!) Good luck!

I can tell you it is not free.Your sure you just need BCI &I? or do you need FBI too....just double check so you dont have to go back twice .You can go to a police station to get one. I would call to see if they offer electronic fingerprints which is what you need. I got FBI and BCI for 55 in cincinnati, ohio.
You can shop around because every place charges something different. It is a matter of how quickly you need them( if you need them fast I am sure you would pay what ever you needed too. However if you are willing to shop around you can get them cheaper).
A word of warning though, I will tell you that the actual base rate for the fingerprints is this 25 for BCI and and 30 for FBI. Anything above that is what each place is choosing to charge.
You can check firestations, hospitals, community centers for CPR courses.
Hope that helps

ON this page it says to make sure the place you choose sends the results to BC&I and from there to the OBON. Is there an address inparticular that we need to be worried about, or will they email them? Or does the BC&I ppl already know the contact info for the OBON.
