Hey all! I was just wondering; how long does it take for my background check to clear in the state of NJ to receive my License?! I've already took my NClex and passed but I still need to get background check and finger prints done!

It can take days to a month to schedule the appointment. Then if you have a clear background 7-14 calends days for the BoN to get the report. Then BoN committee meets to review applications and grant licenses.
Omg that sucks! I heard they do walk ins as well...if they don't have n e thing available within this month is it possible to just walk in?!
Your area may not have much of a wait, you can see all appointments within the state. In my locations walk ins are turned away especially if all appointments show. You are required to make an appointment when you register & pay online. You can take the chance of walking in without risking your appointment at only risking wasting your time.
I know some who got appointments same week. I've been fingerprinted for different entities (state & private) in the past few years. Sometimes the wait is a few days others it's a few weeks. It's all luck of the draw. May-June is tough as many nurses, to teachers and other careers that require fingerprints graduate and there is a backlog. This time of year not so much.
