hello,
i have just one more semester before i head into nursing school. I know they will run the background checks and all that good stuff. I have a clean record except this weekend i was in new york city and a couple buddies of mine were drinking outside in public. it was dumb. cops saw us and gaves us summons for it. no big deal they said. they told us it was like a speeding ticket, a civil violation, not a crime. i paid it already, 25 bucks. Anyways, will this be a problem when run my background. I figure not. Its not like i was out killng people or selling drugs. Thank you. matt

While we sympathize, this forum can't give legal advice.
I did a GOOGLE and found http://www.courts.state.ny.us/courts/nyc/criminal/specialprojects.shtml
under GOOGLE answers "public drunkenness NYC"
Any Nursing Board and licensing questions are best directed to your school and to the State BON of what ever state you are attending school in.
