Yeah!!!! Good for you!

Have you thought about using Fitzgerald's or another reference that targets new grads studying for certification? I am a new grad and have found it to be very helpful. It covers just about everything you learn in school, plus some. There are 13 CDs at slightly over an hour each it is possible to review in a relatively short period of time.

In addition, check out the various clinical guidelines such as JNC7, etc. I have found the guidelines to be very helpful as they basically spell out what goals you are trying to attain and some offer treatment guidelines. For me, it is easier to practice "by the book" until I have formed my own anecdotal evidence to help guide my decisions.

Again, good luck to you. Have you found a primary care position or are you just beginning the job search?

I agree with the previous poster. The Fitzgerald review book is an excellent resource as well as review book!

I am looking into rural loan repayment sites. I have 2 interviews next week! Excited and nervous, after being out of general practice. Thanks for the tips! I attended a Fitzgerald review course about 5 years ago- Excellent!

When I took a year long break from practice, the first thing I did was to get ahold of Ferri's Clinical Advisor. That's help jog my memory and make sure I was not overlooking something. I had it on my PDA. I would image that 5 Minute Clinical Consult is the same.
