Bachelor's Degree Accreditation

U.S.A. California

Hi there! Can anyone please give me an explanation to this:

I got my Bachelor's degree in nursing from the Philippines. I came to California and passed the NCLEX-RN. Am I considered a BSN instead of just an RN? I heard that I still have to have my bachelor's degree credited here in the US before I can qualify as a BSN. If so, what are the steps to do that?

Thank you guys! Hope to hear from you soon!

Since you've already taken and passed the NCLEX-RN you're considered a RN with a Bachelors degree. If you had a MSN then you're a RN with a MSN. You can take the NCLEX-RN as a ADN, BSN, or MSN degree and it doesn't matter because they all take the same national exam. If you have your CA RN license you don't need to have your degree evaluated as the BRN has already done that.
