Has anyone applied to the Bachelors to BSN program at Felician College for May 2010?
With most hospitals, they have in-house training for you to become an aide, well atleast in NYC. And just to give you a heads up, the program is really gonna be intense, so be prepared to cut your social life out for the next 18 months. Most of the nurses i know who took this route and some of the aides i work with now, have stressed that numerous times. Thats my i am enjoying these last few weeks of freedom before i have to get serious with school. Abby, good luck, hopefully we will meet in the program. If you have any further questions, post them and ill try and answer you back in a timely manner.
I am looking at the flyer they sent me now for the absn. i still need Pathophysiology (have never heard of this) and information systems & chem. not bad i guess. yea the program will be stressful, will u continue to work as a nurses aide? how much do they get paid? whats the range? also what sort of job do u do? dam i wish i had been doing that..guess ill visit the HR department soon right? the most credits we will be taking the program will be 13. It seems to me like 13 is not as bad, compared to the 21 credits i am taking now at a demanding school..however, i shouldnt think like that because i know that this is for nursing and 13 credits probably translates to 23 credits lol. we only have two small breaks christmas and a small break in august. i will keep u posted if i get accepted! thank you...hope they have made a decision...

Not sure, but if i was in your situation, i would just do it. Nursing programs are getting much harder these days to get in and longer wait list because of the influx of people applying. Before ABSN programs werent like the traditional programs, now they are. I was attending Dominican College in Rockland County and was suppossed to be in there program next month, its a 12month ABSN, but screwed over. Now for there class next May 2011, they require a pre-entrance exam. So if you get in, most likely you did, just tough it out.
