Bachelor of Science in Nursing Generic Entry Fresno Campus

Hello everyone,

Has anyone attended or heard of National Univesity in Fresno, CA? They have this program there and its accredited through CA BON. I just wanted to know more about it and your experiences.

Specializes in Pediatics.

For my pre-reqs I had some financial aid and the rest I paid myself. I didn't want to take out a bunch of small loans so if I get into the program (doing the essay and teas next week!) I want to take one single loan. As for the work experience... Some of the students that I took my pre-reqs with were CNAs. You will definitely be able to work during these 9 classes, I did and got all A's however I've never worked in the medical field before. I don't plan on working at all during the nursing program besides an extern-ship if I get one after a year of school.

I would love to hear if someone took the TEAS exam too? Was it hard? What's the essay like?

I took it and I will just say use your time wisely. The essay is not too bad as long as you are prepared in your head. I scored 78 on my teas and I believe we find out in about 3 weeks if we were accepted. The suspense is killing me... I just hope my score was high enough :(

I took the teas and the essay. it was very difficult. before taking it, get the ati prep book and study it religiously. make sure when u take ur biomed stats class, a/p classes, and microbio class u get As... Fresno is very competitive because they only let 20 in out of all the applicants.. and 20 is not that many. when u take ur teas test, u will find out ur grade right away.

Hi guys, I submitted my application on July 10th for SD campus and was wondering after how long they will schedule me to take the Teas and essay? Its been a month and I havent heard from them :(Thank you

It depends, when is your application period deadline? You'll receive an email a couple weeks after that date. If the deadline was the 10th, then you should contact your nursing counselor because we applied after that date and have already taken our teas and essay.
