BAC and disorderly conduct conviction

I have been arrested and charged with OVI/BAC/Disorderly conduct. I have a vicious soon to be ex-wife that called the cops on me for driving my vehicle in my yard, which isn't abnormal as our land is over 8 acres, but she wanted me out of my house. Long story short she is testifying that I was intoxicated when I drove in the yard. I patiently waited in the driveway for the cops to arrive after she called. I was never in the vehicle at any time while the police were there. At any rate the best my public defender is aiming for, is to drop the OVI charge and basically plead guilty to the BAC and disorderly conduct charge. My question is will I have trouble obtaining a job as a nurse with a BAC charge? I was also having a manic phase as my insurance decided to no longer cover my mood stabilization medication for bi-polar and I was trying new medications.
