Need a bit of help finding a book.I keep hearing about "BABY Miller" Which book is it?There are a few that are listed when you plug in Stoelting and Miller. Does anyone know what edition and names of the authors? There are books that are hard cover...but I think that it is a thin pamphlet size book...Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Basics of Anesthesia. Here's a link for the one at amazon.com. There is a new one coming out in September if you can wait.

Do you find that this is a really informative book for a 1st year srna? Do you have any other recommendations? All of you help is much appreciated!
I can't tell you if it is informative for the first year srna as I don't start classes until January. I can tell you that it is "suggested" by my program and is generally recommended by all anesthesia providers. I have read it a coupla times and it seems to be a good "start". I have many other books I'm working on. There are several threads that have many very good suggestions. At the moment I am partial to "anesthesia secrets" , M & M and Barash.

Baby miller is one of the first true anesthesia books i have read. As someone new i found it well written and eas to understand. Does an excellent job intruducing the profession to the new provider!

Yes - it starts with the basics - it's a good beginning book. You can move to something bigger/more challenging afterwards...like big Miller, etc.

My personal favorite -- and a favorite of many of my classmates and staff -- was Morgan & Mikhail (now and Murray), now out in a new edition. I'm going to pick this one up just for review.
