Azusa Pacific University

Hello y'all! I am a senior in high school in the middle of filling out my college applications and I'm super excited!

I've done a lot of research on TONS of nursing school, but I'd like to gather more research from people who have actually gone through and are in the programs!

I've read that APU has a direct-entry program, so freshmen are admitted directly into the nursing program which is great!

I've been mostly focusing on trying to find direct entry nursing programs like this so I secure a spot in the upper division nursing clinicals and don't have to worry that much about GPA and prereqs.

How competitive is it to get into APU's program as a freshman? Is the program good?

I took biology my sophomore year (A/B+) and I'm taking honors chemistry right now. My GPA is around a 3.5.

Any info you can on APU's nursing program will help!

God Bless!

I have a couple friends at APU! they love it and it wasn't too tough for them to get in :)

Hello.

I am also very interested in Azusa. I am a high school junior, and I'm beginning my search for nursing schools with direct admission. Once you have found out if you were admitted, please let me know. I know there is a few universities with direct admission for freshmen, but a lot of them are on the east coast and cost a lot of money. Azusa is still pricey, but I would at least only have to pay the in-state tuition.

So I recently got a letter from APU saying that the School of Nursing has a separate application that is due in February 2016, so I'm not sure if they changed the direct admission, but I hope not.

I'll let you know when I get a hold of my admissions counselor!
