Hello All!
Just submitted my application for APU ELM program San Diego campus. I didn't see a forum yet for this application cycle so I figured I would start one. Please post all the questions, concerns, and whatever else here. Do you know when we should expect to hear back results? Best of luck to all applicants!!

Just through experience, they first let all the ones who got in send an email first, require the $500 deposit, if they don't, they proceed with whoever is on the waitlist.

Last Friday they send acceptance letters and also let those know who are on the waitlist.
By experience the people that did not get in, hear from them later on 😞
I remember last time I did not hear from them until August letting me know I did not get in

That's very unfortunate, I haven't heard back from the school so based off your own experience I am going to assume I must have not made it in. A little part of me hopes that maybe I still have a chance since I have not heard anything so I will update if I do. I applied to the IE campus only and maybe in the future I will try more than one campus.

orientation is the 29th
Did your friend apply to Monrovia and get accepted? In the file attached to the interview email, the orientation was 8/1, but it seems that it has changed.
Did your friend hear the announcement of successful applicants last Friday?
congratulations 🙂
ald12 said:Hi. Can anyone explain to me the difference between this program and a direct entry masters that would take only 2 years to complete? Is it preferred by employers to have a BSN? the length of the program is confusing me when other programs are only two years max.
Yes! So APU has BSN Transfer which is transfer students who have completed the prerequisite for the program but they also accept LVN students but they also have to have the same prerequisite done like transfer students and 20 students get picked. For the MSN program it's a 3 year program. You get your BSN RN the in a year and 1/2 and then start with your master after
ald12 said:I was reading online that it has taken people 4-5 years to finish the elm program. when you compare it to other programs that are only 2 years to a masters direct entry, does anyone have insight as to why azusa's program is better?
Yes it can take that long. After you get your BSN RN you start your masters and you go at your pace. They are letting us know that it can take up that long

You also become a Nurse Practitioner in that time, your not just getting a masters but a higher certification as well.
