Hello All!
Just submitted my application for APU ELM program San Diego campus. I didn't see a forum yet for this application cycle so I figured I would start one. Please post all the questions, concerns, and whatever else here. Do you know when we should expect to hear back results? Best of luck to all applicants!!
Just got an email to schedule an interview. Once again good luck to all applicants and let's all chat here to see our progress, leave any tips for the interview, etc ☺️

Hello Reign Shoeben! Congratulations on submitting your application to the APU ELM program at the San Diego campus! 🎉 That's a big step, and it's great that you're starting a forum to connect with other applicants.
As someone who's been through nursing school, I'd like to offer some advice: stay organized, network early, take care of yourself, and take your clinical rotations seriously.
If you need some advice on interview prep, feel free to review this AllNurses resource: 16 Common Nursing School Interview Questions & Answers - Nursing Resources (allnurses.com)
Best of luck to all applicants!

Good luck with your interview Reign! I would recommend choosing an in-person interview. It is a very mellow process where you get to interview with a faculty member.
I am going to be attending the program during the Fall 2024 at the San Diego location. I was already accepted but had to delay my start day.
Thankyou so much for the advice I really appreciate it. I will be sure to check out the common interview questions so thank you to Julia for that. Congratulations Mariana on your acceptance, I unfortunately am working in another state right now so I can't do the interview in person. I wish I could though. I know it shouldn't affect your chances of acceptance but there is so much more you can get and give from an in person interview that I wish I could go in person. But I really appreciate your advice. Thank you both again!

Hi,
Thank you for starting this forum for fall 2024 application cycle. Congrats on your interview invitation! I applied to the Azusa and inland empire campuses but I haven't received any invitations yet. Do you know if the campuses have different interview start dates? I'm getting pretty anxious. Do you mind sharing your stats?
Hello JC7789, congratulations first off on completing your application that's a big deal! I am not sure whether or not the campuses have different interview dates, someone did say that you are interviewed by some of the staff in the program so I may be assuming here but it sounds like you are at least interviewed by the staff from your chosen school. But like I said I'm not sure that would affect interview dates. I have been working with one of the admissions advisors for a year now so I am not sure whether or not her help would influence them reviewing my application sooner than anyone else (but I doubt it). I am happy to share my stats, non science GPA is 3.65, and science GPA is 3.61. Don't feel anxious, I know that's easier said than done but in reality it's only been just over 2 weeks since the application deadline so although it's hard try not to fret over not hearing back quite yet, I am sure you will! Best of luck to you! ♥️
Hi Reign Schoeben!
Thank you for sharing your stats! I really appreciate the information and kind words. But yeah, it's definitely hard waiting to hear back from them. Good luck on your interview! Do you know if they ask us to do skills tests? I heard some schools partner people up and test us on how we well we can communicate with each other. And maybe do written essay on site?

Hi everyone, I am applying to the inland empire campus for the elm program. I recently had my interview last Tuesday. Now I am waiting to hear back, does anyone know how long it may take?

Hey! Yes I went to Orientation and was a week away from starting. The schedule for first semester looked pretty busy. Monday-Friday classes and clinicals. Some people got a weekeday off and had Satuday clinicals. The days started around 0800 and finished around 1900 for most days.

Hi JC7789, At the interview there was no skill test nor a communication test. It is just you and the person interviewing. It is a perfect time to showcase your abilities and why you want to follow this path at Azusa.
