Hi! NA here in the Portland area. I just retook my skills exam on Thursday and I am waiting for the results. I re-tested at Caregiver Training Institute. I am naturally very nervous, as if I have botched this one, then I only have one more chance. I think I did ok, but there seemed to be a lot of personal chatter between my examiner and the actor that wasn't relevant to the test.
From what I've been able to gather from my previous results, if it hadn't been for the blood pressure reading being off, I would have passed with flying colors. My first skills test was Catheter Care (about 93%), Blood Pressure (fail), and ROM Upper Extremity (100%).
I guess I could just use two things:
A. Some reassurance
B. Advice from those who have tested two or three times. Study tips, differences in testing sites, anything you might find useful
