Aviator Scrubs

Published

Hey all. I am in the market for some new scrubs and I have heard good things about these. Anyone have an opinion on them? I just want to make sure they are worth it since they are quite expensive. I want a lot of pockets since I am usually "inspector gadget" of the unit. Also, I like the fact that they have zippers and are belted, but I am concerned with the quality of the fabric and zipper strength. Thanks for any help!

Thought I'd chime in - I recently ordered 2 pr of Aviators with custom options and they were on my doorstep within 30 days across the border to Canada,

I bought 1 pr regular fabric - more like a thin canvas; very durable. I've had many comments on the 'rugged' look to them - definitely very masculine in appearance. I washed them a few times before wearing them, using fabric softener and dryer sheets and they really softened up well.

I also bought 1 pr lightweight fabric, and it is much closer to the scrub fabric that I'm used to. I think I prefer the lighter fabric, just wish it was available in more than 6 colours.

Not only do these scrubs have all the pockets you will ever need, they are, again, very masculine in their cut - the pockets are large and hold a ton of stuff. I really like the integrated nylon belt on the pants - no fear of a drawstring coming undone and your pants riding low! Every seam is at least double-stiched, with the pockets being triple-stiched; perhaps overkill but it adds to the rugged, masculine appearance.

Think of Aviators as the Military Hummer of the scrub world.

A word about Aviator sizing: they do run baggy. I placed my order over the phone, and they were very helpful. I usually wear medium in everything I wear, but they talked me into getting a size small pant because they run so big, even when I told them I was 5'8", with a 33" waist and 31" inseam. I'm finding the small pants a bit too constrictive, so I'll be ordering medium pants from them in the future. The size medium tops that I got are just a little bigger than my usual size mediums, but the torso and sleeve length are fine, just a little looser around the midsection, but not 'from-the-'hood-rapper-baggy", if you know what I mean.

Overall, I'm impressed; these scrubs seem bulletproof and should last many years. I'll be getting a few more pairs very soon. Definitely worth the $$$, even if it's just to have something different than everyone else and not to have to settle for female/unisex cut scrubs.

Thanks to this thread I now have some masculine looking as well as very functional scrubs. I really like all the pockets. As soon as I find out if there are any color requirements on the unit I will be working, I will be ordering 4 more sets. Pricey, but wow the quality is outstanding and heavy duty compared to the scrubs I've had my hands on. I will probably be called vain for this, but the price is worth it to get out of those unisex scrubs.

Great customer service also.....I ordered the wrong size shirt. No problems as I just shipped it back on my dime (it was my mistake) and they sent me a new one on their dime.

Thanks for this thread fellas!!

Do they ship to Canada? And are the bottom of the pants kinda like a boot cut or are they just the standard?

From my recent post: "Thought I'd chime in - I recently ordered 2 pr of Aviators with custom options and they were on my doorstep within 30 days across the border to Canada".

The leg opeings are straight cut.

The 30 days from order to doorstep included custom added pockets to the scrub tops.

I'm ordering soon for the third time - do it over the phone instead of online - they are very patient and helpful.

I'm selling 2 pr of small aviator pants that have never been worn, if anyone's interested, PM me.

I've been wearing Mobb scrubs for the longest time. The pant cuffs are kinda annoying because they're so tight.

Otherwise, those aviator scrubs are $$$ :bowingpur. I need to start working.
