average # of nursing home patients

Does anyone know the average # of nursing home hopsice patients seen in a day? I find 6-8 very do-able.

a patient may be able to have PT if it is not related to the terminal diagnosis. example...lung cancer patient with broken hip receiving PT for the hip is fine and medicare will cover it even with the hospice involvement.

This is true, they can also be admitted as a medicare pt to the hospital if the admitting diagnosis happens to be one other than their hospice diagnosis.
