Hi All! 

Thought I would create a new topic for AVC's Fall 2022 RN applicants. As of right now, I applied with 65 points; however, I am going to retake my TEAS for a higher, overall score. Anyone else willing to share their points?

Hey Amy! So, I’m not sure if they’re sending out notices still, but an email I received stated that June 10 was the last day to accept  a position for those who already received an acceptance. Meaning if someone does not accept it will go to another applicant. Try asking yourself to show them you’re interested! I had acquaintance tell me she was one of the students who got accepted very close to the beginning of the semester.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone starting the RN program this Fall is willing to share what they have done in regards to getting lab tests done for IgG titers. Are you guys finding the testing on your own or are you being referred by your primary physicians?

Your PCP can order it for you.

Hello,

Has anyone had to get vaccines because their titers came back negative? 

My titer for Hep B came back negative so I had to start the vaccines series. In the email it says that we have to have everything done before being able to register for the nursing class. Wondering if anyone is going through the same thing.

I’m actually going through the same exact thing! My titer for the Hep B came back negative. I submitted my first vaccine to castlebranch and another place popped up for submitting the second vaccine. I think we should be okay since there’s nothing we can do we have to wait a full month between each vaccine.

Have you reached out to ------------------------- to see if your able to register for the classes? Or are you just waiting till you get your 2nd vaccine?

I haven’t reached out to her yet. I finished all of my other requirements I’m just waiting to see if they are approved! I will let you know if I’m able to register.

Hey guys! would anyone be interested in starting a group chat for everyone in the program? I thought it would be cool and easier for everyone if anyone has questions, we can help each other out ?

I think we also all got put into a thread on our AVC email with all the instructors and other students???

I was just able to register today, so you should be good too!
