AVC Fall 2021

Published

Hi, anyone applying for AVC Fall 2021. I'm finally done with my prereqs and I just ordered my transcripts. Now I'm just waiting to take my TEAS before the deadline.

Anyone else going crazy waiting for a response? All other schools sent out emails and we're still waiting. I hope is this week for sure!

I am feeling the same way.  The anxiety submitted between April and the first part of may but now it's worse

Same here!

I called avc and was transferred to the nursing program.  I was excited because I spoke with someone who informed me that decisions will likely be made end of next week. Students will receive information the following week.

So until the second week of June? Ugh why so long!?

She said, on the conservative side,  2nd week of June. It sounded like there is a final review done before notices go out to students.

I was surprised someone answered.  This is the first time speaking with someone before covid.  I didn't expect anyone would answer. ?

My friend (who also applied for this semester) had a meeting with Quesada and she said AVC received between 2,000-3,000 applications for the RN program this semester ? so many people!!

OMG that is scary. I wonder what are the chances for us to get in? Are you all from the AV?

That is insane and I wonder how accurate that is because that is nowhere near the amount of applications that was received in the other LA County colleges. The most I have seen so far is PCC getting 800 apps. But I do know that AVC holds on to applications and will review them for the next application period in case you don't get in.

I am from the AV but I did all my coursework at COC and out of state.

That’s what I was thinking too, but apparently my friend was told that this school is one of the few “active” nursing schools right now and that people are applying here from all over the state. I thought schools were starting to open back up again??
