Australian RN's working in Canada

Published

Hello,

I would like to hear from anyone who has or knows about the process involved for Australian RN's to work in Canada as RN's.

I had a quick look using the search function but couldn't find any recent/relevant links.

Would anyone have any information on what the process requires?

From what I gather I would have to upskill to Canadian standards to work in Canada? Has anyone done this?

My partner is Canadian and we are thinking of moving to Canada, it would be nice to be able to work in my professional while I was there.

Cheers,

NN.

Starting point would be meeting requirements for the College of RN's in the province you plan on living and working. Your transcripts will need to show Paeds, Obstetrics, Mental Health and Adult. Depending on province will depend on whether some form of assessment is required and for many that had to go through the assessment further courses had to be completed before eligibility to sit CRNE would be given
