Is anyone here applying for or has applied or have a student visa subclass 575? please enlighten me about it...
And in applying for visa, what can you suggest to me...should i ask a consultancy agency or can i do it on my own ?
I have been doing all the process on my own starting from ahpra then in finding a school for bp... but now with regards to visa, im feeling not quite confident on the things to do...please anyone if you can help...it'll be much appreciated. ..thank you!

Visa application is easy..you can do it yourself and make sure you read immi's website properly. Ahpra is definitely more complicated than the visa so you should be fine. When I first entered Australia, tbe agency did everything for me but when I needed to apply for my succeeding visas, I just did everything on my own. Steps are easy to follow. All the best.

Hi ana0927
My first visa when I did my bridging is Business Short Stay Visa but it's non existent now.
My succeeding visas:
1. Subclass 457 - when I was sponsored by my employer
2. Subclass 186 - Employer Sponsored RSMS Visa for Permanent Residency
^for these 2 visas, I did the application all by myself. Some tips for you when you do your own:
-download the complete document checklist from the website
-all documents should be notarized and scanned.
-follow all instructions in the application form
-when you start application, make sure you have completed the documents to avoid delays in processing
-get your debit/credit card ready
-make sure you apply for the right visa otherwise all fees are non refundable.

The visa application is extremely easy; you should be fine doing it on your own. I has a 573 visa since I earned both my degrees in Australia. A 575 visa is for study abroad for a semester/year students, though, so if you have any questions, your school should be able to help out.
I'm not sure why you're going through AHPRA first though; if you're going to be a student, then your school automatically registers you as a student through AHPRA.
As for finding a school for bp...do you mean bachelor of paramedic science?

BP stands for Bridging Program, it's a conversion course for international nurses wanting to work in Australia. Before nurses could apply for a visa, they need to get an assessment done with ahpra first to prove their eligibility. That's the reason why we go to AHPRA initially--which is the same step done by all previous nurses who did the bridging.
Ah, got it. I wasn't understanding that you were a qualified nurse already. I got my nursing degree in Australia, so didn't have to go through all that.
Good luck with trying to get a job! Do you know which state you want to work in, or do you want to hook up with one of the travel nurse agencies?
^hi snowseal :)
I'm a permanent resident here in Australia and been here for a couple of years now with my family.. :) just helping out other filo nurses with info about visas :) I started here in allnurses too in 2012 when I was still preparing my application for ahpra. Currently working full time in a private hospital in regional vic. :)
Which uni did you go to? :)

Hi belle...thank u so much for the information... appreciate it much... i just want to ask you again, what evidence did you have to submit as financial evidence before? (i understand your visa was different but im just trying maybe you have an idea) Will a bank statement be sufficient? Thank you
^my aunt from US made an Affidavit of Financial Support, she had it notarised in the US then sent it to me via email, with attachments such as her payslips, bank account and drivers licence.
Thanks belle... but i do have my own savings from my previous employment abroad... so maybe a bank statement of my savings enough proof right? Thank u so much belle...
Yes. If you have enough savings that should be fine.
