Augusta University BSN Fall 2019 Applicant Stats

Published

Hey y'all! I'm almost ready to submit my application! I'm really excited but nervous since my early college years made my GPA really difficult to pull up for the program. I wanted to create a thread for stats and acceptances/waitlists/denials so I can see if I even have a chance! I'll start with mine:

GPA: 2.90

TEAS: 89.4

A&PI: A (1 yr old)

A&PII: B (9 yrs old)

Micro: C (9 yrs old)

HumnDev: B (7 yrs old)

Statistics: A (1 yr old)

Bachelor of Science in Biology, have worked in a dental office for a year, BLS cert

Hey! I'm applying for Fall 2019, too. I got waitlisted last year and got accepted off the waitlist, but I had to deny my spot because I didn't have enough money saved. That's made me super nervous about getting in again this year. Last year, I sent in my app on the day of the deadline (idk if this is true, but apparently if you send in your app after December you automatically get waitlisted or denied) but I'm trying to send in all my stuff by Nov. 1. My stats:

Last year:

GPA: 3.45

TEAS: 78

This year:

GPA: 3.33 (got a C in econ)

TEAS: 84

Which campus are you applying to?

Hi! I'm applying to Augusta campus! And I would def suggest applying ASAP just bc the admissions are rolling. Idk how many spots are even still available by the deadline so it makes sense there would be a lot of waitlists. I bet if you applied earlier last year you would've been a shoe in! Your stats are great!

Btw when did you find out you were moved off the waitlist? I feel like if I do get accepted it'll be a waitlist but I have to have time to prepare financially as well.

Thank you, You have a super good teas score! And I think it was either the end of June or the end of July. Either way I know it was super late. Do you have a lot of volunteer or shadow hours? I have some shadow but barely any volunteer and I feel like it's kinda important

I volunteered for a bit at Ronald McDonald House but no shadow hours. I've been working in healthcare for over ayear but it's endodontics.

Hey y'all!!!

I am a current nursing student on the Augusta campus. I was waitlisted and found out around the end of June that I got in. Like everyone has said so far apply ASAP!!!!!!!!!

If you guys have any questions just let me know.

Do you mind me asking your stats?

I have a Bio degree already but my upper level classes destroyed my GPA.

So appling I had a

GPA- 2.8

Teas- 92

I have like over 500 volunteer hours.

I applied like a week before the apps were due. I really think my Teas and my recommendations helped me.

Thanks that really makes me feel like I might have a chance! Our Stats are really similar. Your teas is a lot better than mine but I also have a bio degree and my upper level courses are actually really good. Everything before that is what was terrible. I'm glad to see someone else similar to my situation made it in!

Hey y'all! I just got my acceptance letter to AU's BSN program on Wednesday. My teas was a 75, and my GPA was at 3.3. I did have over 500 hours of volunteer work at a local Hospital and had great references. Apply as early as you can!

Congratulations! That's awesome! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Also, did your application status change on NursingCAS before you got your letter?
