I know some hospitals start out at like $25/hour. Medical College of Georgia supposedly pays the most of any other hospital for beginners. Also, see my post under "Augusta Hospitals" above this thread.
Are any of the hospital hiring new grads now?

I don't understand why people actually want to move to Augusta. This place has no class or culture. There's nothing to do here and the crime rate is pretty high.

Augusta's medical community is a great place to begin your nursing career. It welcomes new grads and has been supporting nursing students. Careerwise it is a great option.
Keep in mind though that Augusta is not like Atlanta when it comes to activities and entertainment. However; it's all in what you like to do on your personal time. I believe that this city is like any other in Georgia.

Can you please tell me which places are hiring new grads right now? I have some friends who can't find jobs, and they're not picky... they're willing to do anything to start their new career. I feel bad because a few of them have been looking for over 6 months. I realize that it's impossible for every new grad nurse to secure a job in this economy, even here in Augusta.
I would appreciate any information. Thank you!
