Hi, I'm a med surgical nurse want to transition to occupational health. Trying to upskill, so employers don't see me as just med surg. Is it worth paying for a audiometry course which covers ear assessment, anatomy, hearing test, work place noise ?

You can do that but it depends on where you are working. I am an occ health nurse in a factory and we have a mobile truck come out and do testing since I do not have the space for hearing booths. I do respiratory testing since we have a paint booth and maintenance employees. That could be a good thing to look into

I work in an office environment and I don't see any reasons for not getting the course now if you're interested. My course was 4 days.
